The forge is the only building that can craft gear to emprove your heroes. It has 3 types of item it can create: Lenses (these improve your heroes attack, armor and/or speed), Armor (these improve your heroes armor, life and/or speed) and Relics (these have various abilitys that can be activated in battle). It also sometimes needs some extra items to be able to craft these items, these are generaly listed under the category of components in the buildings menu, but some are obtained through campaign quests.
